This bi-annual Sephora sale gives me all the feels but I am going to be honest. I have made a decision not to purchase anything this time but that does not mean I can't share my favorite finds with you!
Sephora hosts this sale twice a year, and depending on your membership level, you are entitled to a specific discount. If you are not familiar with Sephora's membership levels, let me tell you! It works like this:
For Rouge members (spent $1,000+ in a calendar year), you get 20 % off your entire purchase; for VIB members (spent at least $350 last year), you get 15% off your entire order from April 21 - April 29; and for Beauty Insiders (anyone who signs up for the Sephora loyalty program), you get 10% off your entire order from April 23 -April 27.
So, let's get into it! Below are my favourite picks!
This palette is literally everything you need from your daytime to your nighttime look. The colours are so versatile, and the pigmentation is excellent. I always disclose that I am not a makeup expert, and I am actually terrible at applying it, but I think I have a decent handle on the basics. This palette is perfect for me because its super easily to apply, the colours are simple/versatile and they work perfectly with my skin tone. I think it's a staple in every gal's makeup drawer.
If you have never tried Tatcha, I highly recommend grabbing one of their mini kits that contain a few trial sizes! It's really a bang for your buck because you get a few different things to try out without completely committing yourself. My bestie introduced me to Tatcha and my first purchase was Skincare for Makeup Lovers: Dewy Glow Set. I am so glad I got this mini set, because some of the products worked well on my skin, while the others I could do without. Do some research and give it a whirl!
This Marc Jacob velvet mascara, along with the velvet primer is my absolute fav mascara! This is the limited-edition case inspired by the Marc Jacobs Spring 2019 Fashion Show and here is the regular version. The products are identical and both are the same price ($35 CAD). I feel that this is reasonable because it definitely goes a long way.
This the first mascara that I really took an extreme liking to. It gives you long, luxurious lashes when you use the primer, together with the mascara. They both apply smoothly and does not create any lumps. I am not a big fan of fake lashes, so this is perfect and simple enough for me to add to my daily makeup routine. I am on my second tube of this good stuff, and I will continue to be a loyal user!
A few years back, I redeemed this thickening root spray with my VIB points and I was instantly hooked. It works wonders on my fine, thin hair. After I wash, I spray a little on my roots, tousle my hair and blow dry using a round brush. It really gives my hair a boost and I would highly recommend giving this a try for voluminous hair!
