This colour instantly stole my heart. Pink is one of my favourite colours, and even though we are in quaratine due to Covid-19 and I am not going to the office at the moment, I could not resist the #BananaRepublic Petite Sculpted-Fit Washable Blazer with the matching Petite High-Rise Flare Pant. Which girl wouldn't want a pink lavender suit?
At first, I wasn't sure if I could pull this off, but the lavender makes this pink very subtle. It's not a bright bold pink that's in your face (which is totally cool), but my choice for the office is to be slightly more toned down. Also, BR has a great sale with 50% off, plus an additional 10% off, with no exclusions! This entire suit came in just under $200 for me. I know it sounds pricey, but there are few reasons I spend the extra money on clothing:
1) It's quite difficult to the find the right petite suit. For reference, I purchased a 00P in both the blazer and pants;
2) BR rarely consistently has a 50% sale, plus an extra 10% (it's usually only Family & Friends Events); and,
3) Who doesn't love a pink suit?
The Blazer
This blazer has a Princess seam (which gives you a closer fit for a more fitted look). BR has also made the blazer washable! This is huge and I am glad that I will not have to spend the extra money on dry-cleaning.
The Pants
I am so glad I snagged up the matching pants. I love the high waist and bell bottom feel to it. These pants were made with extra length so it could be worn with heels, so naturally it was too long for me. Another neat tid-bit about these pants is that they were made in Gap Inc.'s P.A.C.E program which is designed to educate and empower women in the communities where their products are made.
Unfortunately, this entire suit was slightly big so I will have to do some alterations. With that being said, it's still a better fit on me compared to regular sizing or purchasing from a store that does not tailor to petite sizes.
