It's that time of year again where we celebrate our wonderful mothers and all of the wonderful things they do for us! I am so blessed to have my mother and my mother-in-law that always supports us mentally and emotionally, and of course makes us yummy food! I personally don't believe in designating one day to express our love, we should do it everyday and it's even more of an eye-opener being in quarantine.
My mother's day spa date plans came early this year only because there were no available appointments in May when I called to book in March. So, I ended booking a spa date at the end of March and I am I ever glad I did that!
I have brainstormed a few easy ideas/gifts that I am sure your mother will love and that are not too heavy on your wallet either!
At-Home Self-Care Kit
Every girl loves to be pampered with anything from beauty products to flowers to wine! As the majority of you know, Sephora's sale is happening until April 29. Check out this post for my current favourite picks at Sephora! Nordstrom also has some great deals on sleepwear. Or you can also consider ordering flowers from a local shop (win-win to get your mom a gift and supporting local businesses!) Think about all the pretty little things your mom would love and appreciate.
Order curb-side delivery or make something
Order your mom something special to eat and have it delivered, or since we all have some spare time, make her something she really loves! Below are a few Big T approved recipes that are easy to follow. No doubt she would appreciate something made from your kitchen with love.
Create a photo album online
I am a sucker for photographs! There is so much historical value in them. Gather some photos and create an album for your mom! I like to use Shutterfly to create photo albums, stationary, photos for the wall etc.
Have a Mother's Day Parade
Calling all siblings (only if you have them). How nice would it be to gather your siblings and do a vehicle drive-by. I plan to make a cute sign with some supplies I have around our home and doing a drive-way to send our moms and grandma's a wave of love! Its already tough enough that we cannot see them, so we just have to make the best of it.
I hope some of these ideas resonate with you and be sure to let me know how you plan to celebrate this Mother's Day in quarantine!
Love,
Big T
xoxo
